***Each Race three drivers are to be selected along with one constructors team***
DRIVER SELECTION RULES
A driver is any current F1 driver contracted to one of the teams that is listed in the menu of drivers. Each driver can only be selected 5 times throughout the racing calendar. When selecting drivers you will notice in the "Choose your picks" menu a heading labeled "Times Picked". This number will increase each time that particular driver is chosen. Once the limit of 5 has been reached for that driver, the option to select the driver will disappear.

IMPORTANT!

There is a twist or two to the driver selection.

Scenario 1: In case of a driver switch mid-season, the drivers’ pick will continue if he was selected in his old team. Example; If Sutil was selected 2 times as a Force India driver and then switches to Virgin Racing you will only have 3 picks left for Sutil.

Scenario 2: If you select a driver and he gets injured prior to the race and is not replaced you will get the worst score(maximum) for that driver. If that racer is replaced for the race then you would get the replacement driver score. (Not the other team driver but the driver who drives the injured drivers’ car). This is done because the change window has passed and you will not be able to replace the injured driver.

CONSTRUCTOR TEAM RULES
Similar to the driver rules, the constructor team can only be selected 5 times throughout the year. Once the limit of 5 has been reached for that constructor team, the option to select the team will disappear.
WHERE DO I ENTER MY PICKS

List of Drivers and Teams

HOW THE SCORING WORKS

The 3 driver scores are calculated by their finishing order. Just like golf your goal is to attain the lowest possible score.

How the scoring works

For example, you selected Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello. They finish 4, 3 and 9 in that order. Your total score will be 16 for the drivers.

Constructor scoring is based on both drivers finished positions at the end of the race. Here a consistent team is better than an inconsistent team.

Example 1: Mclaren is chosen. Lewis Hamilton finished 1st and Jenson Button struggles and finished 16th due to a mechanical failure. SCORE=17

Example 2: Mercedes GP is chosen. Michael Schumacher finished 3rd and Nico Rosberg finished 4th. SCORE=7

Both driver score and team score are added up and that will be the final score for that race which will be reflected in the standings. Example above totals 23.

IMPORTANT!

Tie Breaker will be based on the top 5 races for each participant. Lowest combined score wins. If it is still tied, it will go to the next lowest race score and so on till the participant with the lowest score wins.

Example;

Participant 1 scores (10, 10, 12, 15, 20=67)

Participant 2 scores (9, 11, 15, 15, 17=67).

Then we would go to the next lowest race Participant 1 scored 22 and participant 2 scored 25. Therefore, participant 1 is claimed the winner.

Website issues: If you are unable to logon to the site please try to clear your ‘Internet browser’ history & cookies. We will also accept your picks via email to catchall@f1extreme.net but must arrive prior to cutoff.

If the website is down for whatever reason (example: host issues) and more than 25% of active participants (active participants are participants that have put in picks in 2 of the last 3 races at least) don’t get their picks in, we will void the race results in the standings. The reason we have it at 25% is because you are able to put in your picks for the next race as early as the previous race ends. You are also able to change your picks as often as you like till the next cutoff.

CUTOFF TIMES

On the main page under "Countdown to cutoff" you will see a countdown, counting down the time you have to make your selection.

How the scoring works

Remember you can make as many changes as you like till that clock strikes zero. IMPORTANT! Cutoff is prior to qualifying. Cutoff times can be different for each race so pay careful attention to the countdown timer on the main page. You will not be able to select or edit your picks after the cutoff time hits zero. When the cutoff time has been reached you will be able to view the other players selections for the current race event.

WHAT IF YOU DON'T SELECT ANYONE
Penalties will count against you in this pool if no driver or Constructor team is selected. If no drivers are selected you will be given the last three placed drivers of the race.

Example: Finishing 18th, 19th and 20th are Adrian Sutil, Bruno Senna and Jarno Truilli. You will one receive 75 points and also, lose one selection for each of those drivers. So Adrian Sutil, Bruno Senna and Jarno Truilli can now only be selected 4 more times for the remainder of the season.

On the constructor side, you might be hit harder. The greatest Team score will be awarded with a maximum point score of 51.

Example: Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel finishes 20th but Mark Webber finishes 8th that is only 28 points. However, if Virgin Racing driver Lucas di Grassi finishes 16th and Timo Glock finishes 14th that is a score of 30 points. That will be the score given.

VIEWING OTHER PLAYERS SELECTIONS

The only time one player can view another player's selections is after the cutoff time has passed. This insures no copying or switching of picks near the end of the season when selection becomes very important. You can also view any previous picks by any player throughout the season.
To view other players selection throughout the season click on "YOUR SCORE " in the top left window. In this example click on 23.

Player Score

This will bring you to a grid with round by round scores. Click on any other players score to view their picks.

Player Standings

You will be able to see how many times each driver and constructor has been chosen. This is a good way of seeing which teams and drivers the people ahead of you still have for the remainder of the season.

VIEWING RESULTS THROUGHOUT THE SEASON
On the right hand side click "DRIVER STANDINGS or DRIVERS on the menu" , "TEAM STANDINGS" or a particular "RACE CIRCUIT" and you will be taken to another page with a grid illustrating race by race points finish ordered by the championship order for drivers. A grid with team scoring per race and the race results themselves.
